Make a choice

“Easy choice, Hard life. Hard choice, Easy life.” by Jerzy Gregorek.

I would like to add to that, in that, if you make no choice, as in no decision or avoid, it is the same as taking the easy choice.

So, we will have a hard life or time. So, make that hard choice and things will be a lot easier in the long run.

I wanted to put it another way and I am going to draw something for you. So, this is about making a choice.

And Its called above the line and below the line.

So, some people talk about OAR and BED. If you talk “Above the line”, it is OAR and you have ownership, accountability, and you take responsibility.

And with the BED which is “Below the line” thinking. You blame everything, have an excuse, and you are in denial.

So, some people have said you get your oar and row, steer your business. It will give you control and direction. Even when the water is rough, whereas for a bed, they just cannot get out of bed. You cannot accomplish anything when you are in bed, it is a comfortable but helpless place to be stuck.

Another way of looking at this is:

You can have results, or you can have reasons.

You can be proactive, or you can be reactive.

You can be a victor, or you can be victim.

Choice, or justify.

Or you can see possibilities, or you can see problems.

You can solve things, or you see failure.

Seek solutions or you can come up with obstacles.

You can find better ways, or you can find fault.

And finally, you can take action or you can do nothing.

So, things happen, but is your response that determines if the outcome is ultimately positive or negative.

I would prefer you to be above the line, but it is your choice to make a decision on which way you are.
